New China Modernized Blast Furnace
On December 15, 1979, the renovation project of Shougang No. 2 blast furnace was completed and put into operation, becoming the first modern blast furnace in my country. In 1985, the achievement won the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award.
The No. 2 blast furnace was originally an iron belt blast furnace built at Kamaishi Steel Works in Japan in 1929, and was demolished in Shijingshan in 1941. After liberation, although it has been transformed many times, it has reached the old and backward "twilight years". The utilization factor is only about 1.2 tons/m3·day, and the coke ratio is as high as 800 kg/ton; the No. 1 generator is a Siemens product in 1901. , 0.72 kg of standard coal is required to generate 1 kWh of electricity.
Shougang decided to relocate the No. 2 blast furnace to overhaul and completely rely on its own strength to build a new No. 2 blast furnace that reaches a professional level. After dozens of studies and discussions, and with affirmation from many aspects, a professional-level design plan for the new No. 2 blast furnace with more than 20 new technologies has matured. A vigorous scientific and technological innovation and independent innovation activities were launched. The new No. 2 blast furnace uses the self-innovated blast furnace pulverized coal, uses the top-fired hot blast stove that has never been used in large blast furnaces in the world, and uses the inclined bridge belt conveyor for the first time in China. It is the first time in China that a bellless stove top has been used to replace the bell-shaped stove top that has been used for many years. The success of the new No. 2 blast furnace has created a success for the technological transformation of the steel's blast furnace, and also provided a variety of technical references for the blast furnaces of domestic brother enterprises.
